Six PBC Men's Lacrosse Players named USILA Scholar All-American, Three Teams Earn Team Academic Awards

LOUSIVILLE, Ky. – Six PBC Men's Lacrosse Players have been named United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) Scholar All-Americans for 2026. Montevallo led the PBC with four players named, joined by Lander with two.Montevallo's four selections include Ryan Andrews, Matthew Boas, Alex Egorshin and Brandon Shaffner. Lander's two selections include Breton Crewe and Sean Reilly.  Lander, Montevallo and UAH also were among the 29 teams to receive the Team Academic Award by the USILA, which is awarded to teams with a GPA of 3.00 or higher. 

Andrews, a senior midfielder from St. Catherines, Ontario, Canada, posted a 3.375 cumulative GPA as a sociology major while appearing in 17 games for the Falcons with 17 starts. His senior season saw a second-team All-Peach Belt Conference selection after scoring six points on two goals and four assists while adding 25 ground balls and 11 caused turnovers.
 
Boas, a senior attacker, recorded a 3.45 cumulative GPA in pursuit of his finance degree while starting all 17 games for Montevallo in 2026. Boas was named PBC Attackman of the Year after posting 78 points on 53 goals and 25 assists while adding 24 ground balls and six caused turnovers. The Nanaimo, B.C., Canada native's senior campaign saw USILA All-South Region Honors, USA Lacrosse All-American Honorable Mention and a USILA Third Team All-America selection.
 
Egorshin tallied a 4.0 cumulative GPA as a chemistry major while starting all 17 games for the Falcons in his senior season. The Hoover, Ala. native was named PBC Goalkeeper of the Year for the third-consecutive season after posting a .601 save percentage on an average of 15.88 saves per game with just 11.68 goals allowed per game. Egorshin's senior season featured a USILA All-America Second Team honor and a USA Lacrosse All-America Honorable mention as well as a USILA All-South Region selection.
 
Shaffner, a senior faceoff specialist from Louisville, Ky., earned his Sholar All-America selection after posting a 4.0 cumulative GPA as an exercise and nutrition science major. The 2026 campaign saw the senior post a .654 faceoff win percentage while adding a team-high 96 ground balls. Shaffner earned a USILA All-South Region selection, a USA Lacrosse All-America Honorable Mention, and a first-team All-PBC selection. 

Crewe graduated this May with a bachelor's degree in Data Science and finished with a 3.37 GPA. He was also named to the PBC Presidential Honor Roll in 2025 and 2026. Crewe was an All-Peach Belt Conference selection in each of his two seasons with the Bearcats and led the conference in face-off win percentage this season (.582).

Reilly was a member of the Bearcats from 2022-26. He graduated last May with a bachelor's degree in International Studies and is currently working toward his master's in Business Administration while carrying a 3.83 GPA. Reilly earned recognition to the PBC Presidential Honor Roll from 2022-26 as well as the PBC All-Academic Team in 2023, 2024 and 2026. He garnered All-Conference honors for the first time this season.
