KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The United Soccer Coaches announced the 2022 Division II All-Americans on Thursday with two Lander Bearcats earning accolades.

Marco Gueli was named to the second team while Jed Smith was named to the third team. 

Gueli, who led the Bearcats this past season in scoring with a career-high 13 goals and 29 points, was named to the All-American second team. Gueli was also named to the USC All-Region team, earned All-PBC first team honors along with being named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District team.

Smith helped a Bearcats squad that allowed just eight goals in Peach Belt Conference play. playing on the back line for Lander, Smith set a career-high in goals scored with four while recording 10 points. Smith nabbed two assists, both coming in the NCAA Tournament including assisting on the tying goal against the University of Tampa. Smith was also named to the USC All-Region team and All-PBC first team.
