Peach Belt to Partner With U.S Council for Athletes’ Health

AUGUSTA, GA – The Peach Belt Conference and commissioner David Brunk are pleased to announce that the league will partner with the U.S. Council for Athletes’ Health (USCAH) to promote the health and safety of student-athletes. USCAH will provide healthcare advising, policy and procedure development, and educational services to Peach Belt Conference and its member institutions.

“The care and well-being of our student-athletes is one of the most important concerns for athletic administrators, both at the conference and institutional level,” said commissioner Brunk. “This partnership with USCAH will give our institutions and administrators access to a variety of programs, information and support that will make a real difference in the careers of our student-athletes.”

The partnership includes access to the Athletics Healthspace portal, designed to give athletic departments a virtual tool for institutional assessments, educational training and athletics healthcare innovation.

"The Peach Belt has a history of excellence in serving its student-athletes and USCAH is honored to become a partner in fulfilling the commitment to enhancing the health and safety initiatives for the conference and its member institutions,” said Dr. Chad Asplund, USCAH Executive Director. “College student-athletes continue to ask institutions and conferences to prioritize their health and well-being and we look forward to working with the Peach Belt to help ensure the health and safety of their athletes."

PBC institutions will also have access to the Athletics Healthcare Administration Association (AHAA), a virtual community for collaboration, professional development, expert resources and one-of-a-kind connections. This tool is designed for athletic administrators, athletic trainers, team physicians and anyone charged with oversight of student-athlete health & safety.

The PBC partnership with USCAH goes into effect on July 1.
