Angel, making her first appearance on the UNG team, became the first Nighthawk to win the UNG XC Invitational individual title since 2014. The graduate student from Duluth, Ga., ran the 5k in 18:52.4 as North Georgia took the top eight spots to win the team title. Her average mile was 6:04.5 and she finished four seconds ahead of teammate Karmen Leroy. Angel’s 5k time is the fastest in the Peach Belt so far this season.
