KENOSHA, Wis. - The Flagler College women's cross country team wrapped up their 2025 season after placing 30th at the NCAA National Championship, hosted at the Wayne E. Dannehl National XC Course this morning. Augusta's Madison Thomas also closed her season as she competed as an individual.
Entering the race ranked No. 27 (USTFCCCA Top 30) in the nation, this is the third consecutive year the Saints made an appearance at the national championship. The race consisted of 262 runners who represented 62 schools.
Abby Misch paved the way for the Saints as she finished in 153rd place overall with a time of 22:22.1, an exact second off of last years finish. Mich earned 131 points for the team. Capping off her cross country career as well was Chloe Smith who placed second for the Saints and 175 place overall. Smith finished in a time of 22:30.8 to earn the Saints 152 points. This is Smith's best finish both time and placement wise while at the national championship.
To round out an impressive freshman year, Sophia Poling placed third for the Saints and 181 overall in 22:34.0. Poling was one of three freshman to run for Flagler this morning and earned the team 158 points. Marie Meyer-Piton joined Poling as the only two freshman to score towards the Saints team score as she earned 178 points. Meyer-Piton placed 202 in a time of 22:53.5. To finish off the Saints scoring was Clemence Treguer who set new career highs while competed at a national championship. Treguer placed 210 to earn 186 points in a time of 22:58.6. Zoie Marchant and Hanna Warren were the final Saints to finish. Marchant placed 222 in 23:13.6 while Warren placed 241 in 23:43.9.
Augusta's Madison Thomas placed 169th overall in the women's 6K championship race with a time of 22:29.4. Thomas earned her national berth by finishing among the top two individuals not on a qualifying team at the NCAA Southeast Regional. She closed her season as the Peach Belt Conference Runner of the Year, an All-Conference honoree, and Augusta's top performer throughout championship season.
