Savel finished in 13th place at the Valdosta State Border Clash as Flagler finished in second place in the 12-team field. The sophomore from Limoges, France, ran the 5k course in 19:27.4, the eighth-fastest among DII runners and 10 seconds away from a top-10 finish in the 110-runner field. She ran the fastest 5k in the Peach Belt on opening weekend as Flagler finished ahead of Division I Jacksonville and Georgia Southern.
