Kennesaw State Wins Valorant Championship!

FLORENCE, SC -- Kennesaw State rallied from one map down and a 6-1 deficit in the fourth and decisive map as they defeated Converse 3-1 in the PBC Valorant Championship on Saturday night at the Florence Center.  The Owls claim their first Valorant title; but their second of the day as the Champions Division team also won earlier on.

Converse jumped out to a quick 1-0 map lead before KSU rebounded to win the next two.  The match seemed destined to head for the full five games with the Valkyries leading 6-1 in the fourth only to see the Owls go on a run and close the gap, tying the match at 10 before winning 13-11.

Ryan Jayasundera was named the tournament Most Valuable Player.

The Valorant championship was the conclusion of a full two days of action at the PBC Fall Esports Festival that saw four overall champions crowned.  The PBC will return in February with regular-season competition beginning in Rocket League and Overwatch.
