
Baseball Player of the Week: Jeremy Begora, Young Harris
Begora collected at least one hit in all four Mountain Lion games last week with a .400 average and .733 slugging percentage. The sophomore first baseman from Cartersville, Ga., hit .500 in three games against Georgia Southwestern, driving in three runs. He went 2-for-4 in the second game, hitting a home run and driving in a pair. He doubled in the other two games of the series with another RBI in game three. He also scored four runs on the week and stole a pair of bases. Begora is currently second on the team in home runs and RBIs.

Baseball Pitcher of the Week: Noah Windhorst, Columbus State
Windhorst tossed a seven-inning no-hitter as CSU blanked North Georgia in a run-rule shortened 10-0 win. The junior righthander from Zebulon, Ga., allowed three walks and struck out six to improve to 5-0 on the season. He retired the first eight batters he faced in order before issuing a walk in the third, then retired the next 11 in a row. It is the third no-hitter thrown in league play this season and the eighth in a conference game in PBC history. Windhorst is currently fourth in the PBC in ERA, third in opponent batting average and innings pitched and sixth in strikeouts.

Baseball Freshman of the Week: Will McClellan, Lander
McClellan hit .438 in four games last week for the Bearcats with a .688 slugging percentage and .526 on-base percentage. The catcher and outfielder from Anderson, S.C., collected hits in all four games with multiple hits in three, with six total RBIs. He went 2-for-4 in the first game against Emmanuel, hitting a home run and driving in three. He also scored six runs and stole a base. McClellan is currently fourth in the PBC in slugging percentage, fifth in OPS and tied for seventh in RBIs.
