
Baseball Player of the Week: Donovan Garcia, Flagler
Garcia hit .455 with a 1.182 slugging percentage as the Saints split their four games. The junior shortstop and outfielder from Odessa, Fla., collected hits in all four games with two doubles, two home runs and 11 total RBIs. He doubled and drove in a pair in the series opener against Young Harris, doubling again in game two with a home run and three more RBIs. In the series finale, he hit a solo home run and drove in five. Garcia has emerged as an everyday starter and through 10 games played this season is second on the team in slugging percentage and fourth in RBIs.

Baseball Pitcher of the Week: Wes Lott, North Georgia
Lott picked up UNG's lone win in the series against Lander, pitching eight innings of the second game with two hits allowed, no walks and 10 strikeouts. The sophomore from Douglas, Ga., retired the side in order four times including the last six batters he faced, holding his opponents to a .080 batting average. His 10 strikeouts is the most in a single game in the PBC this season. Lott is currently ranked ninth in the PBC in opponent batting average.

Baseball Freshman of the Week: Evan Cowan, Georgia College & State University
Cowan hit .471 over four games out of the leadoff spot with five runs scored. The center fielder from Richmond Hill, Ga., collected hits in all four games on the week, including a .636 average in a three-game sweep of Augusta. He went 3-for-4 in the opener against the Jaguars with a double and two runs scored. He was 2-for-4 in the second game with an RBI and drove in another in game three as he went 2-for-3. He had a .522 on-base percentage and stole a base. Cowan is currently ninth in the PBC in batting average.
