AUGUSTA, GA -- The Peach Belt Conference has released the 2024-25 championships schedule and a new pay-per-view plan that will begin this season. The conference will host 18 championship events along with two Esports events, starting with the cross country championships on Oct. 26.
Several sports will be getting new tournament formats for this season. Men's and women's basketball will return to the quarterfinal round hosted by the higher seed in each of the four games with the highest remaining seed hosting the last four teams. The men's and women's sites will be separated once again. The PBC softball tournament will return to a single-elimination bracket over three days and men's lacrosse will begin earlier in the schedule to make room for the PBC/RMAC Championship game with the winner getting an NCAA automatic bid. All other tournament formats remain largely unchanged, check the full schedule below for details.
The PBC is also announcing that pay-per-view will be coming to select championship events starting with the 2024-25 season. All PPV plans will only affect conference championships, regular-season games will still be free to stream. All streaming, both PPV and free, will continue to be carried by Hudl through the PBC Sports Network. Pricing plans for championships will be announced in advance of each event with prices expected to start at $10 per game with tournament passes also available.
