Reigning PBC Champions Flagler have been selected as favorites once again by the league’s coaches. Flagler received nine first place votes, and will begin the 2025 season as outlying favorites. Augusta and North Georgia each received one first place vote. GCSU and Lander complete the top five, followed in order by Clayton State, USCA, Columbus State, USC Beaufort, Georgia Southwestern and Middle Georgia.
In 2024, Flagler tied the PBC record for most consecutive PBC Women’s Cross Country titles with their seventh in a row, matching Kennesaw State’s run from 1994-2000. The Saints continued their successful season as they came in second overall at the NCAA Southeast Regionals, with Taylor Stone earning a first-place finish, the first Individual Champion in program history. Flagler finished the season at the NCAA National Championship with a 25
th place finish. Flagler return four PBC all-conference runners, including PBC Freshman of the Year Franzi Martens.
Augusta came second in the 2024 PBC Championship meet, placing three runners in the top ten. The Jaguars closed out their season at the NCAA Southeast Regional where they placed 6
th overall. Augusta sees the return of two PBC all-conference runners, Maria Biondollilo and Sophia Cook.
North Georgia placed third in the 2024 PBC Championship meet, with three all-conference finishes. The Nighthawks closed out their season at the NCAA Southeast Regional with an 11
th place finish. The Nighthawks see five returns to their roster including all-conference runner Maggie Welp.
