Player of the Week
Kyle Robitzsch, North Georgia
Junior, Catcher
  • Helped North Georgia to a 3-1 record on the week, including a series victory vs CSU that clinched the PBC Regular Season title
  • Had a .600 batting average, 1.133 slugging percentage and .632 on base percentage for the week
  • Posted 9 hits, 6 RBI’s and scored 7 runs for the week, hitting two doubles and two home runs on the week
  • On the season, Robitzsch is second in the PBC in on base percentage (.508), sixth in batting average (.390), seventh in runs batted in (46) and ninth in on base + slugging percentage (1.042)
Pitcher of the Week
Andrew Lowrey, Middle Georgia
Senior, Pitcher
  • Lowrey tossed a seven-inning complete game shutout in a 23-0 victory over Claflin
  • Allowed just three hits and one walk while striking out 5 of the 21 batters faced
  • Held opponents to a .143 batting average
  • Lowrey has six wins on the season, with a 4.66 ERA and a .257 opposing batting average for the season

Cam Hodge, North Georgia
Freshman, Designated Hitter
  • Helped North Georgia to a 3-1 record on the week, including a series victory vs CSU that clinched the PBC Regular Season title
  • Had a .357 batting average, .643 slugging percentage and .545 on base percentage for the week
  • Posted 5 hits, 8 RBI’s and scored 6 runs for the week along with a double and a homerun
  • On the season, Hodge leads the PBC in runs batted in (60), home runs (10) and walks (35). Hodge has a .322 batting average, .566 slugging percentage and .472 on base percentage this year

Bella Angeli, Lander
Senior, Shortstop
  • Helped Lander to a 3-0 series sweep of Flagler
  • Had a .875 batting average, 1.750 slugging percentage and .778 on base percentage for the week
  • Totaled 7 hits, 5 RBIs and 5 runs with two doubles, a triple and a home run
  • On the season, Angeli has a .367 batting average, .642 slugging percentage and .434 on base percentage 
Pitcher of the Week
Khloe Shears, Columbus State
Junior, Pitcher
  • Shears made three appearances for the Cougars this week, earning two wins on the mound 
  • Shears pitched 16.2 innings on the week, including two complete games vs #3 North Georgia 
  • Allowed 12 hits, five runs and struck out two on the week with a 2.10 ERA
  • Shears is second in the PBC in wins with 15 this season, as she averages 2.41 ERA and a .258 opposing batting average this year in 119 innings pitched
Freshman of the Week
Erin Garland, Georgia Southwestern
Freshman, Third Base
  • Had multiple hits in three of four PBC games last week
  • Had a .450 batting average, .550 slugging percentage and .450 on base percentage for the week
  • Totaled 9 hits, 3 RBIs and 3 runs with two doubles
  • Garland went 4-for-6 with runners on base, and all 3 RBI came with 2 outs
  • On the season, Garland has a .339 batting average, .417 slugging percentage and .384 on base percentage

Player of the Week
Thomas Cardona, Columbus State
Senior
  • Helped No. 5 Columbus State to a perfect 2-0 week, including a home win over No.3 Flagler on Sunday
  • In a victory over Montevallo, Cardona won 6-0 at No. 2 doubles with teammate Samer Al Tori and 6-1, 6-1 at No. 1 singles
  • Against Flagler, Cardona won 6-3, 6-2 at No. 1 singles over the 37th-ranked singles player
  • Currently ranked as the No. 23 singles player in the latest ITA Rankings
WOMEN’S TENNIS
Player of the Week
Claudia De Lucas, Columbus State
Freshman
  • Helped guide No. 14 Columbus State to a perfect 3-0 week, including two Peach Belt Conference wins
  • In a win over Montevallo, De Lucas won 6-1, 6-2 at No. 3 singles
  • In a win over Georgia Southwestern, De Lucas won 6-0 at No. 3 doubles with teammate Finley Jeffers and 6-0, 6-0 at No. 2 singles
  • In a win over No. 15 Flagler, De Lucas won 6-1, 6-0 at No. 3 singles
MEN’S LACROSSE
Offensive Player of the Week
Matthew Boas, Montevallo
Senior, Attacker
  • Boas led Montevallo to its second ranked win of the season in Montevallo's 15-14 win over No. 18 Flagler on Saturday
  • He scored six goals on seven shots while adding a ground ball and had one caused turnover
  • Boas leads the PBC in goals (43), goals per game (3.07), points (64), points per game (4.57) and is third in assists (21) and assists per game (1.50)
 
Defensive Player of the Week
Alex Egorshin, Montevallo
Senior, Goalkeeper
  • Egorsin helped Montevallo to its second ranked win of the season in their 15-14 win over No. 18 Flagler on Saturday
  • Tallied 14 saves from 28 shots for a .500 save percentage
  • Added 2 caused turnovers and a ground ball
  • On the season, Egorshin leads the PBC in saves (226), save percentage (.612) and saves per game (16.14)
 
 
MEN’S TRACK & FIELD
Track Athlete of the Week
Gabriel Best, Augusta
Junior
  • Competed at the Lee University Fast Break Athletics Invitational
  • Placed third in the 3,000m steeplechase with a time of 9:03.29
  • Met the NCAA DII provisional standard and broke the PBC All-Time steeplechase record
 
Field Athlete of the Week
Channing Robinson, USCB
Freshman
  • Competed at the Southside Power and Fitness Invitational
  • Tied for first in the high jump with a mark of 2.06 meters
  • Met the NCAA DII provisional standard and broke the USCB school record
 
WOMEN’S TRACK & FIELD
Track Athlete of the Week
Gabrielle Jourdain, Augusta
Freshman
  • Competed at the Lee University Fast Break Athletics Invitational
  • Ran 16:55.54 in the 5,000 meters, breaking the PBC All-Time record
  • Her time broke the previous PBC record by more than 15 seconds
 
Field Athlete of the Week
Alex Baltazar-Hall, ERAU
Graduate
  • Competed at the USF Invitational
  • Threw 46.42m in the discus to place second
  • Met the NCAA DII provisional standard
