PBC Release Men's Lacrosse All-Conference Teams

With the conference tournament set to begin this afternoon, the Peach Belt Conference has announced the 2026 Men’s Lacrosse All Conference teams. Post season awards are nominated and voted for by the league’s coaches. Coaches are not permitted to vote for their own players. Montevallo took home four major awards as Matthew Boas was named Attackman of the Year, Alex Egorshin was named Goalkeeper of the Year and Elite 18 Award recipient and Jason Lange was named Coach of the Year. Flagler also took home three major awards as Brendan Watson was named Defenseman of the Year, Jack Pilla was named Midfielder of the Year and Will Linko was named Freshman of the Year. 
 
PBC Attackman of the Year
Matthew Boas, Montevallo
Senior, Attacker
  • Started 14 of his 15 games played this season
  • Led the PBC in goals (47), goals per game (3.13), points (70), points per game (4.67) and is third in assists (23) and assists per game (1.53)
  • In conference play, Boas also led with 19 goals, 4.75 goals per game, 22 points and 5.50 points per game
  • This is Boas’ second consecutive Attackman of the Year honor, having claimed the award in 2025 also. He remains the second Montevallo player to receive the award, joining Thomas Vaesen (2021,2022) as a two-time winner
PBC Defenseman of the Year
 Brendan Watson, Flager
Senior, Short Stick Defensive Midfielder
  • Started 13 of 14 games played this season
  • Totaled two goals and two assists this season, alongside 33 ground balls and 18 caused turnovers
  • Led the Flagler defense that had a goals-against average of 9, the lowest in the PBC 
  • In PBC play, Flagler held opponents to 7.75 goals per game, also the lowest in the conference
  • Watson is just the second Saint to be named Defenseman of the Year, joining Brandon Grusholt who claimed the award a year ago
 
PBC Midfielder of the Year
Jack Pilla, Flagler
Senior, Midfielder
  • Played seven games, starting one, returning from an injury midseason
  • In conference play, Pilla scored 8 goals, adding two assists alongside four ground balls and two caused turnovers
  • Pilla is the second Saint to be named Midfielder of the Year, joining Tyler Douglass who claimed the award in 2025
 
PBC Goalkeeper of the Year/ Elite 18 Award
Alex Egorshin, Montevallo
Senior, Goalkeeper
  • Played and started all 15 games for the Falcons this season
  • Led the PBC with a .609 save percentage and 156 total saves with and averaged 16.27 saves per game which is second most in conference
  • He was ranked second in the nation in saves per game and fifth in save percentage leading into the final weekend of the regular season
  • This is Egorshin’s second consecutive Goalkeeper of the Year honor, having claimed the award in 2025 also
  • The PBC Elite 18 Award is presented at each of the PBC's 18 championships to the student-athlete competing with the highest cumulative GPA. Egorshin claims the award for the second consecutive season, having claimed the award in 2025. He remains the only Falcon to receive the award
PBC Freshman of the Year
Will Linko, Flagler
Freshman, Attacker
  • Played and started in all 14 games for the Saints this year
  • Totaled 27 goals and 7 assists for 34 points, while adding 22 ground balls
  • In conference play, Linko scored 14 goals, third most in the conference, and added 11 ground balls
  • Linko is the second Saint to be named Freshman of the Year, and the first since Drew Flagg in 2022
PBC Coach of the Year
Jason Lange, Montevallo
9th Season
  • Lange picks up his fourth PBC Coach of the Year award, having previously won in 2021, 2023 and 2024
  • Helped the Falcons to an 8-7 overall record, and a perfect 4-0 record in conference play, securing the PBC Regular Season title for the third time
  • This is just the second time the Falcons have completed conference play with a perfect record, last doing so in 2021
