BASEBALL
Player of the Week
Tyler Gundelfinger, USC Beaufort
Sophomore, Third Base
  • Helped USC Beaufort to a 3-1 record on the week
  • Had a .600 batting average, .867 slugging percentage and .667 on base percentage for the week
  • Posted 9 hits, 8 RBI’s and scored 6 runs for the week, hitting four doubles on the week
  • Had 2+ hits in each game and at least one RBI in each game this week
  • On the season, Gundelfinger has a .267 batting average, .317 slugging percentage and .375 on base percentage
Pitcher of the Week
CJ Hanson, Flagler
Junior, Pitcher
  • Hanson tossed eight innings in a 6-2 victory over GCSU
  • Allowed two unearned runs on five hits, striking out four
  • Induced 13 ground outs and six fly outs, holding batters to a .172 batting average
  • Hanson is second in the PBC in earned run average (2.57), innings pitched (63), batters struck out looking (27) and is fourth in batters struck out (59) and opposing batting average (.232)
Freshman of the Week
Maverick Grigsby, USCA
Freshman, Third Base
  • Helped USCA to a 4-0 record on the week
  • Had a .389 batting average, .500 slugging percentage and .389 on base percentage for the week
  • Posted 7 hits, 2 RBI’s and scored 4 runs for the week along with two doubles
  • On the season, Grigsby has a .317 batting average, .381 slugging percentage and .429 on base percentage
 
SOFTBALL
Player of the Week
Karlie Gutierrez, GCSU
Junior, Catcher
  • Helped GCSU to a 5-0 week
  • Had a .667 batting average, .800 slugging percentage and .700 on base percentage for the week
  • Totaled 10 hits, seven RBIs and six runs with two doubles and was walked once and hit by pitch three times while going 4-for-4 in stolen bases
  • On the season, Gutierrez has a .329 batting average, .425 slugging percentage and .419 on base percentage 
Pitcher of the Week
Mattye Geddings, Lander
Senior, Pitcher
  • Geddings had a dominant series against Augusta, tossing two complete-game shutouts, the second and third of her career, in Lander’s conference series win 
  • Geddings threw 14.0 scoreless innings, allowing just 11 hits while walking just one and holding opponents without a run in both outings.
  • She secured wins in 1-0 and 4-0 victories, controlling the game from the circle and leading the Bearcats with back-to-back complete-game performances. 
  • Geddings is second in the PBC in earned run average (1.73), tied for second in saves (2), fifth in wins (10), sixth in fewest runs allowed (32) and seventh in innings pitched (93)
Freshman of the Week
Abbie Kegley, USCA
Freshman, Pitcher
  • Made three appearances for the Pacers this week, going 2-0 from the mound
  • Tossed a complete game in the five-inning win at MGSU with three strikeouts
  • Worked four innings of relief to get the 4-3 win in the second game allowing just four hits, with one strikeout
  • Threw seven shutout innings of relief with five strikeouts in a 15-inning game in the series finale
  • Had a 1.31 ERA on the week, holding opponents to a .200 batting average on 55 batters faced
  • Kegley leads the PBC in earned run average (1.58), opposing batting average (.176), innings pitched (141.2), batters struck out (121), and is second in wins (13) and third in batters struck out looking (25)
 
MEN’S TENNIS
Player of the Week
Harry Pugh, Lander
Sophomore
  • Pugh had a standout week against top-ranked competition, highlighted by two ranked singles victories. 
  • Ranked No. 21 nationally in singles, Pugh defeated No. 33 Aniss Rafiq of Flagler (6-7 (5-7), 6-3, 6-2) and No. 4 Pedro Liborio of North Georgia (5-7, 7-5, 1-0 (10-7)) at No. 1 singles
  • He also added a pair of doubles wins alongside Brendan Jayaprakash, earning 6-4 and 6-3 victories at No. 1 doubles. 
  • With the performances, Pugh improved to 14-0 in singles and 12-1 in doubles on the season.
WOMEN’S TENNIS
Player of the Week
Nikoline Gullacksen, CSU
Senior
  • Led Columbus State to a 3-0 week, including wins over #43 Young Harris and #29 Middle Georgia
  • Finished the week 2-0 in singles play at No. 1 and 2-1 in doubles play at No. 1
  • Columbus State is currently ranked No. 18 nationally, while Gullacksen is the 29th-ranked singles player
  • Against Lincoln Memorial, Gullacksen won 6-3 at No. 1 doubles with teammate Monika Temkova before winning 6-4, 6-1 at No. 1 singles 
  • Against Middle Georgia, Gullacksen and Temkova won 6-2 in doubles play, followed by a 6-3, 6-0 win in the top singles flight. 

MEN’S LACROSSE
Offensive Player of the Week
Lucas Mullen, Montevallo
Sophomore, Attacker
  • Helped Montevallo to a 24-10 victory over UAH
  • He scored five goals while adding one assist
  • Added one ground balls to his stat sheet
  • Mullen is second in the PBC in goals (30), goals per game (2.31), points (52), points per game (4.00), assists (22) and assists per game (1.69)
Defensive Player of the Week
Allan Starks, Virginia State
Senior, Defender
  • Helped Virginia State to a 1-1 week
  • Collected three caused turnovers and three ground balls against Flagler on Wednesday
  • Had three caused turnovers and one ground ball in the 12-9 victory over UDC on Saturday
  • On the season, Starks is seventh in caused turnovers (13) and fourth in caused turnovers per game (1.30)
 
MEN’S TRACK & FIELD
Track Athlete of the Week
Jakori Herring, USCB
Sophomore
  • Competed at the Embry Riddle Running Elements
  • Ran 51.46 in the 400-meter hurdles, breaking the school record and PBC record
  • Met the NCAA DII provisional standard and he currently ranks 3rd nationally in the 100m 
Field Athlete of the Week
Samuel Mitchell, USCB
Freshman
  • Competed at the Embry Riddle Running Elements
  • Placed 2nd in the triple jump with a distance of 15.08m and second in the long jump with a distance of 7.32 
  • Met the NCAA DII provisional standard and currently ranks 8th nationally in the triple jump
 
WOMEN’S TRACK & FIELD
Track Athlete of the Week
Taylor Roth, ERAU
Junior
  • Competed at the Embry Riddle Running Elements
  • Ran 2:10.72 in the 800 meters, meeting the NCAA DII provisional standard 
  • Her time is the fastest in the PBC this season so far
Field Athlete of the Week
Alex Baltazar-Hall, ERAU
Graduate
  • Alex competed in the Shot Put, Hammer, and Discus at the Embry-Riddle Classic finishing in second in both the discus and the shot put along with a seventh-place finish in the hammer throw
  • Her throw in the Discus was 47.10m an NCAA II provisional standard mark. She threw 12.85m in the shot put. 
  • Her discus throw is also a new PBC record
 
MEN’S GOLF
Player of the Week
Sacha Corlouer, Georgia Southwestern
Freshman
  • Captured individual medalist honors with a dominant 11-under performance at the Argonaut Invitational
  • The loaded 87-player field included competitors from five of the top six teams in NCAA Division II and nine of the top 15 program... 14 players ranked in the top 30 of DII were in the field
  • Opened with a 3-under 69, followed by a 4-under 68 in Round 2, and closed with another 4-under 68 in the final round
  • Corlouer recorded 16 birdies to lead the field, ranked second in Par 5 scoring (-10, 4.17 average), and tied for the fewest bogeys in the field with three
  • He surged down the stretch with four birdies on his final nine holes to secure the victory…With the win Corlouer jumped to No. 26 in the national rankings
 
WOMEN’S GOLF
Player of the Week
Kajsa Lindqvist, Lander
Senior
  • Lindqvist tied for fourth at last week's Grand Harbor Classic at The Patriot Golf Course by shooting -2 (214). There were 104 players in the field.
  • She had scores of 71/70/73 and made 12 birdies and 33 pars over the course of the tournament.
  • Lindqvist tied for third in par-4 scoring with a stroke average of 3.97 as she shot -1 on those holes. She was also tied for fifth in par-5 scoring average (4.67, -4).
  • It marked her sixth top five finish of 2025-26, and eighth top 10
  • Lander was team runner-up at +2.
