AUGUSTA, GA -- Eight Peach Belt Conference baseball players have earned All-Region honors as the NCBWA and D2CCA each released their teams. Five of those players were named to both All-Region squads with Flagler's George Gilson and Georgia Southwestern's Evan Koehler named first-team on both.
Alongside Gilson and Koehler, Flagler's CJ Hanson was a first-team selection by the D2CCA. Hanson was a second-team selection by the NCBWA. North Georgia's Kyle Robitzsch and USCA's Salvatore Laimo were second-team selections by both organizations. North Georgia's Ben Hamacher was named second-team all region by the D2CCA. GCSU's Evan Cowan and Georgia Southwestern's Evan Wainman were both named second-team selections by the NCBWA.
In total, two PBC players were named NCBWA first-team all region, and five were named NCBWA second-team all region. Three PBC players were named D2CCA first-team all region, and three were named D2CCA second team all-region. All first-team selections are eligible for All-America consideration.
The Division II Conference Commissioners' Assocation (D2CCA) team is selected by athletic communications professionals in the southeast region. The NCBWA team is selected by the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association.
