DAYTONA BEACH, FLA -- The Embry-Riddle Eagles lead both the men's and women's outdoor track & field championships following day one. The Eagles scored 108 points on the men's side. Augusta is in second place with 55.5, followed by Flagler with 49. On the women's side, the Eagles scored 138 points on day one, followed by Flagler in second with 57 and Augusta in third with 41 points.
Eight events were scored on day one. The Eagles secured at least one top-two finisher in each of the five field events on the day for both men and women. They also secured a top two finisher in the 3,000m steeplechase, with Emily Tubbs winning gold on the women's side and Ethan Stout securing second place for the men.
The PBC Outdoor Track & Field Championships return Saturday, with nine track finals and three field finals along with the decathlon and heptathlon. Competition begins at 8:30 am and a free live stream can be found at pbcsportsnetwork.com
