
Baseball Player of the Week: Oliver Zohn, Lander
Zohn hit .429 over three conference wins against Young Harris this weekend. The sophomore left fielder from Raleigh, N.C., hit leadoff in all three games with three doubles and four RBIs. He collected hits in all three games, going 2-for-5 in the opener and then 3-for-4 in game two with two doubles and a home run. He scored six total runs, stole a base and had an .857 slugging percentage. Zohn had seven putouts with no errors and one outfield assist.

Baseball Pitcher of the Week: Nick McCollum, Georgia Southwestern
McCollum got his league-leading third shutout of the season as he went the full nine against North Georgia with six hits and no runs allowed. The junior from Richmond Hill, Ga., struck out nine and allowed no walks and held UNG to a .182 average, retiring the side in order four times. McCollum is tied for the PBC lead with three complete games this season, he is also second in the conference in strikeouts, tied for second in wins and is seventh in ERA.

Baseball Freshman of the Week: John Luke Glanton, Georgia College & State University
Making his first career conference start, Glanton pitched seven innings as the Bobcats took the rubber game from USC Aiken on Sunday. The righty from Metter, Ga., allowed six hits and one walk while striking out seven to the team that was atop the PBC standings at the time (now tied for first). He retired the first five batters he faced in order and retired the side in order twice. Glanton, whose previous long outing was 2.1 innings, improves to 2-2 on the season with 10.0 strikeouts per nine innings.
