AUGUSTA, GA -- Flagler College was voted as the women's cross country preseason favorite in a poll of the league's head coaches released on Tuesday. The Saints received all nine first-place votes available to them in the poll for the maximum 81 points. Augusta was second in the voting with North Georgia third and Columbus State fourth.
Flagler has won the last five PBC Championships in a row, the third longest streak in PBC history. The Saints return their entire team from last season, led by junior Monique Whiteman, the 2022 PBC Runner of the Year and Individual Champion who also competed in the NCAA national championships.
The 2023 season will begin for nine of the PBC's 10 teams on Friday, Sept. 1. The 2023 PBC Championships will be held on Saturday, Oct. 21, and hosted by North Georgia.
