GAINESVILLE, FLA -- Embry-Riddle put on a dominating performance and won the first-ever Peach Belt Conference men's indoor track & field championship on Monday at the Alachua County Sports & Events Center in Gainesville, Fla. The Eagles finished with 228 points, outdistancing Flagler in second place with 96 and Central State in third with 86.
Embry-Riddle found success on the track with gold in the 200, 400, 800, 3000, 60 hurdles and distance medley relay. In the field events, the Eagles were atop the podium in the pole vault, long jump and triple jump.
Several conference season-bests were set at the event. ERAU's Derick Brown won the 200m in a season-best time of 21.71 while Embry-Riddle as a team won the distance medley relay in 10:11.29.
ERAU's Conrad Prisby won the pole vault with a 4.76m, setting an NCAA provisional height in the process. Teammate Antonio Caito also set an NCAA mark in the triple jump with a 15.05.
The top three finishers in each event were named PBC All-Conference. Additionally, the league presented the following awards.
