Three PBC Indoor Track & Field Athletes Selected for NCAA Women's National Championships

INDIANAPOLIS, IND -- Three Peach Belt Conference athletes have been selected to compete in the 2024 NCAA women's Indoor Track & Field National Championships, the association announced on Tuesday. Central State's Amarianna Lofton, Embry-Riddle's Mikaela Miles and Flagler's Taylor Stone will all compete March 8-9 in Pittsburg, Kansas, at the Rober W. Plaster Center.

The three women are the first PBC student-athletes to represent the conference at the indoor national championships after the league began the sport for the 2023-24 season.

Miles, who rewrote the Eagle record books in the triple jump last season, further cemented her status as the best in ERAU history by recording the program's top two triple jump marks in 2024. The sophomore from San Diego, Calif., hit the provisional mark six times this season and her leap of 12.28m at Peach Belt Conference Indoor Championships (Feb. 19) earned her the conference title and is the ranks 14th nationally this season.

Stone will be the ninth seed in the women's mile after dominating the event in the PBC this season. The junior from Largo, Fla., ran a 4:45.98 at the Grand Valley State Big Meet in early February, more than 10 seconds under the NCAA provisional mark. She also won the mile at the PBC Indoor Track & Field Championships two weeks ago and has twice been named the PBC track athlete of the week this season.

Lofton will compete in the high jump for Central State in their first season as an associate member in the Peach Belt. A sophomore from Orlando, Fla., she cleared the bar at 1.75m (5' 8.75") at the GVSU Big Meet on Feb. 9, the sixth-highest jump in NCAA Division II this season. Twice named the PBC field athlete of the week this season, she was named the PBC co-Indoor Track & Field Athlete of the Year after winning conference titles in the high jump and 60m hurdles.

Heat sheets for the NCAA National Championships will be released on March 4. Live scoring for the NCAA Championships can be found here: https://results.leonetiming.com/?mid=7065
