MEN’S BASKETBALL
Player of the Week
Jojo Bell, Clayton State
Senior, Guard
  • Bell had 33 points, 15 rebounds, four steals and three blocks in the senior day loss to USCA
  • The 33 points and 15 rebounds are both career highs for the Laker
  • Scored 23 points while adding five rebounds, an assist, a steal and three blocks in the loss to Flagler
  • Bell is sixth in the PBC in rebounds per game with 6.8
 
WOMEN’S BASKETBALL
Player of the Week
Jessica Dowdy, Flagler
Senior, Guard
  • Helped Flagler to a 1-1 record, averaging 23.5 points per game
  • Dowdy scored 27 points while adding eight rebounds, four assists and a steal in a 70-63 victory over Clayton State
  • Scored 20 points while adding two rebounds, three steals and an assist in the loss to GCSU
  • Dowdy closes the season averaging 7 points, 3.8 rebounds and 1.5 assists
 
BASEBALL
Player of the Week
Luke Boone, GCSU
Junior, Outfield
  • Helped GCSU to a 3-0 series sweep of USC Beaufort
  • Had a .500 batting average, 1.167 slugging percentage and .500 on base percentage for the week
  • Posted 6 hits, 13 RBI’s and scored four runs for the week
  • Boone hit two doubles and two home runs, including a grand slam
  • Boone is tied for third in the PBC with 4 home runs. His 6 RBI in game one of the series is tied for second most in a game this season, as his two home runs in the same game are tied for most in a game this season
Pitcher of the Week
Keaton Prior, GCSU
Junior, Pitcher
  • Prior threw the first no-hitter for GCSU in 26 years (2/26/2000) as he recorded an 11-0 win in 7 innings
  • Struck out eight, while walking just two in the 98-pitch effort, allowing only one runner to reach third base the entire game
  • Retired 14 of the final 15 batters he faced
  • On the season, Prior is tied second in least runs allowed (10), third in least hits allowed (17), fourth in opposing batting average (.198), tied sixth for least earned runs allowed and tenth in batters struck out looking (6)
Freshman of the Week
Johnny Nutt, Georgia Southwestern
Freshman, Pitcher
  • Earned his third consecutive PBC win with a 7-inning effort on Sunday vs Augusta
  • Held the Jaguars to just one unearned run through seven innings
  • Rolled the Jaguars into three double plays
  • Ranks third in the PBC in opposing batting average (.196), tied for third in wins (3), and tied for sixth in fewest hits allowed (19) on the season
  • In PBC play, Nutt ranks second in opposing batting average (.167), second in innings pitched (21.0), third in batters struck out (18) and is tied for first with wins (3)
 
 
SOFTBALL
Player of the Week
Kendall Huelsman, Georgia Southwestern 
Senior, Second Base
  • Helped Georgia Southwestern to a 1-1 week
  • Had a .571 batting average, 1.571 slugging percentage and .500 on base percentage for the week
  • Totaled a double and two home runs on the week, with seven RBIs, four hits and two runs in two games
  • Huelsman is tied for fourth in the PBC in batting average (.500), fifth in slugging percentage (.889), fifth in on base percentage (.558) and second in on base+ slugging percentage (1.447)
Pitcher of the Week
Claire Radford, USCA
Freshman, Pitcher
  • Made two appearances for the Pacers this week, going 1-0 from the mound
  • Struck out 11 while allowing just two hits in 7.0 innings in a 5-0 complete game victory over Mount Olive
  • Struck out two, allowing two hits in 2.1 innings in a 12-2 victory over Emmanuel
  • Radford is second in the PBC in batters struck out (47), third in batters struck out looking (12), fifth in innings pitched (41.0) and tied for seventh in wins (3)
 
Freshman of the Week
Kaylee Bolding, USCA
Freshman, Shortstop
  • Helped USCA to a 4-0 week
  • Had a .545 batting average, 1.182 slugging percentage and .571 on base percentage for the week
  • Totaled a double and a home runs on the week, with four RBIs, six hits and five runs on the week
  • Bolding is tied for sixth in the PBC in runs scored (15), tied for sixth in triples (1) and tied for third in home runs (4)
MEN’S TENNIS
Player of the Week
Harry Pugh, Lander
Sophomore
  • Led #13 Lander to victory vs North Greenville
  • Won 6-0, 6-1 at No. 1 singles over Pavle Markus 
  • Earned a decisive 6-1 victory at No. 3 doubles alongside Ismail ElShafei 
 
MEN’S LACROSSE
Offensive Player of the Week
Trace McDonald, Flagler
Senior, Attacker
  • Helped Flagler to a 2-0 week
  • Had 4 goals and 5 assists vs RV Rollins, including the game winner in overtime as the Saints downed the Tars 14-13
  • Had 3 assists in a 14-8 victory over Emmanuel
  • Leads the PBC in assists per game (2.88), second in points per game (4.75) and ninth in goals per game (1.88)
 
Defensive Player of the Week
Will Bond, UAH
Senior, Defender
  • Helped UAH to a 1-1 week
  • Had 7 caused turnovers and 6 ground balls on the week
  • Bond is second in the PBC in caused turnovers per game (1.63)
 
MEN’S GOLF
Player of the Week
Sam Brown, Georgia Southwestern
Junior
  • Brown led the 8th ranked Hurricanes to an Oldfield Classic Team Championship
  • Ended the tournament as Individual Runner-Up, two shots off the Individual Medalist with a three under par (73-70-70)
  • He posted back-to-back under-par rounds to close the event and recorded two eagles, ranking second in the field 
  • Brown's final-round 70 featured two birdies and an eagle on the inward nine as GSW pulled away for the title at the 16-team event
 
WOMEN’S GOLF
Player of the Week
Camryn Wright, North Georgia
Junior
  • Camryn won the Individual Title at the LR/Dunes West Intercollegiate in a field of 96 golfers. 
  • Shot four-over par 220 (78-69-73)
  • Wright carded three identical rounds of 73 (+1) throughout the tournament. 
  • North Georgia finished 2nd out of 17 teams
