BASEBALL
Player of the Week
George Gilson, Flagler
Sophomore, Outfield
  • Helped Flagler to a 3-1 record on the week, including a series sweep vs Claflin
  • Had a .714 batting average, 1.714 slugging percentage and .750 on base percentage for the week
  • Posted 10 hits, 11 RBI’s and scored 12 runs for the week, hitting four doubles, two triples and two home runs on the week
  • On Sunday, Gilson became the fifth Flagler player to hit for the cycle, and his was a natural cycle (single, double, triple, and a home run in consecutive at bats)
  • On the season, Gilson leads the PBC in slugging percentage (.807), on base + slugging percentage (1.305), doubles (21), home runs (12) and is tied for first in RBI (63). Gilson is second in batting average (.416), fourth in runs scored (58), fifth in on base percentage (0.498) and tied for seventh in hits (69)
Pitcher of the Week
Dylan Holbrook, North Georgia
Redshirt-Freshman, Pitcher
  • Holbrook tossed six-innings in a 10-5 victory vs Anderson
  • Allowed just one hit and no walks while striking out 9 of the 20 batters faced
  • Held opponents to a .050 batting average with a 0.00 ERA
  • Holbrook has two wins on the season, with a 2.74 ERA and a .160 opposing batting average for the season
Freshman of the Week
Maverick Grigsby, USCA
Freshman, Third Base
  • Helped USCA to a 3-1 record on the week, including a series victory vs GCSU 
  • Had a .438 batting average, .500 slugging percentage and .500 on base percentage for the week
  • Posted 7 hits, 2 RBI’s and scored 5 runs for the week along with a double
  • On the season, Grigsby has a .326 batting average, .395 slugging percentage and .431 on base percentage.

Madison Cosgrove, Middle Georgia
Senior, Outfielder
  • Helped Middle Georgia to a 2-1 record on the week
  • Had a .600 batting average, 1.600 slugging percentage and .667 on base percentage for the week
  • Totaled 6 hits, 4 RBIs and 4 runs with two doubles, a double and three home runs
  • On the season, Cosgrove has a .347 batting average, .521 slugging percentage and .459 on base percentage 
Pitcher of the Week
Chloe Poss, North Georgia
Senior, Pitcher
  • Poss made two appearances for the Nighthawks this week, pitching 13 innings
  • Pitched a 7-inning complete game vs Flagler, allowing three hits and two walks with 7 strikeouts, holding opponents to a .136 batting average in the 4-0 victory
  • Pitched six innings vs Flagler on Saturday, allowing five hits and two runs with 8 strikeouts, holding opponents to a .200 batting average in the 4-2 victory
  • Poss leads the PBC in wins (20) batters struck out looking (47), and is second in batters struck out (124), innings pitched (152.2), earned run average (1.93) and third in opposing batting average (.209)
Freshman of the Week
Lani Dansby, Georgia Southwestern
Freshman, Short Stop
  • Helped GSW to a 3-2 record on the week
  • Had a .533 batting average, .867 slugging percentage and .563 on base percentage for the week
  • Totaled 8 hits, 8 RBIs and 5 runs with a grand slam in the series finale vs Middle Georgia
  • On the season, Dansby has a .308 batting average, .467 slugging percentage and .357 on base percentage
 
MEN’S TENNIS
Player of the Week
Thomas Cardona, Columbus State
Senior
  • Led #15 Columbus State to a perfect 3-0 week and the outright 2026 Peach Belt Regular Season Championship.
  • CSU defeated #14 North Georgia 4-3 before beating Georgia College and #22 Lander by identical 6-1 scores
  • The senior defeated the nation's 44th-ranked singles player 6-2, 3-6, 6-1 against UNG.
  • Defeated 8th-ranked Harry Pugh of Lander 7-5, 6-1 in the season finale.
  • Finished the regular season with a 14-2 record in singles play and a perfect 5-0 against PBC foes.
  • Currently ranked #21 in the latest ITA Singles Rankings
 
WOMEN’S TENNIS
Player of the Week
Nikoline Gullacksen, Columbus State
Senior
  • Led #12 Columbus State to a perfect 3-0 week and the outright 2026 Peach Belt Regular Season Championship.
  • CSU defeated #13 North Georgia 5-2 before beating Lander and Georgia College by identical 7-0 scores
  • As an individual, Gullacksen was 3-0 in singles play at No. 1 and 3-0 in doubles play with teammate Monika Temkova at No. 2.
  • The senior defeated the nations 13th-ranked singles player 3-6, 6-4, 10-3 against UNG
  • Finished the regular season with a 15-2 record in singles play and a perfect 5-0 against PBC foes.
  • Currently ranked #14 in the latest ITA Singles Rankings
 
MEN’S TRACK & FIELD
Track Athlete of the Week
Derick Brown, Embry-Riddle
Redshirt-Junior
  • Competed at the Embry-Riddle Blue & Gold Invite
  • Finished first in both the 110m hurdles and the 400m hurdles
  • He ran 14.18 in the 110mh an NCAA II Provisional Standard mark and the No.2 Embry-Riddle all-time personal best
  • He followed it up with a 54.15 in the 400mh which was the Embry-Riddle No.4 all-time personal best
  • Brown is currently sitting as the No.24 time in NCAA II for the 110mH
 
Field Athlete of the Week
Noah Gammichia, Embry-Riddle
Senior
  • Competed at the Embry-Riddle Blue & Gold Invite
  • Gammichia threw the NCAA II No.35 mark in the javelin with a throw of 62.65m to win the event at the Embry-Riddle Blue & Gold Invite
 
WOMEN’S TRACK & FIELD
Track Athlete of the Week
Taylor Roth, Embry-Riddle
Junior
  • Competed at the Embry-Riddle Blue & Gold Invite
  • Ran 2:09.16 to win the 800 meters
  • Her mark was the NCAA II No.24 time of the season, and fastest in the PBC this season
Field Athlete of the Week
Alex Baltazar-Hall, ERAU
Graduate
  • Competed at the Embry-Riddle Blue & Gold Invite
  • Won the discus with a throw of 49.60, an ERAU program record and an All-Time PBC record
  • She is now tied for the 10th farthest throw in NCAA II this season.
